Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disorder on airways which causes shortness of breath, coughing, wheezing and tightness of chest.

1. Mostly due to dust and smokes which makes breathing difficult. Asthma can be caused by both environmental and genetic factors.

2. Asthma symptoms are triggered by breathing in allergy causing substances called allergens. The allergens includes,

  • Climate changes
  • Physical workouts
  • Pollens
  • Mold
  • Smoking
  • Stress
  • Cough and cold
  • Domestic pets in home
  • Synthetic room sprays and scents
3. Hay fever and Eczema are also followed by Asthma individuals.

Treatments for Asthma

1.Treatments are focused on avoiding the allergens which triggers the asthma symptoms.

Long time Medication process, regularly to prevent attacks and further difficulty in breathing, the medicine includes, which are inhaled through Asthma Inhaler, are
  • Corticosteroids
  • Leukotriene inhibitors
  • Bronchodilators
  • Omilizumab
  • Cromolyn sodium (Intal) or nedocromil sodium (Tilade)
  • Aminophylline or theophylline
2. Asthma inhaler which holds medicine to breath in. The drug inside the inhaler enters into your airways and prevents the allergens.

  • Proventil
  • Ventolin
  • Xopenex
  • Methylprednisolone
4. Better keep your beds, household items dust free, avoid being a passive smoker, and if you are allergic to pets stay away from it.
